Overview
This article includes information about what observations are available within Auto Taco, how and when to access those observations, and how to change the dealerships that are being observed.
El Toro uses patented GeoFraming technology to identify when and where your customers are shopping, with accuracy down to one meter squared. This can be particularly useful in flagging past customers who are now showing up at competing dealerships, but may not have visited your dealership recently.
Once you have signed up for Auto Taco, you will receive a notification that will display past customers that have visited a close competitor dealership in the past week. As these past customers are flagged, you can immediately respond to retain them. New observations are available weekly, on Mondays.
How to See My Dealer Observations
After logging into Auto Taco, select the dealership(s) you want to see insights about. Auto Taco will provide weekly observation data for each dealership.
To begin, refer to the following steps:
Step 1: Pick your Dealership. Then select “Get Customers.”
Step 2: You will be shown a snapshot of your current CRM for the selected dealership and a summary headcount. Select “Find Insights” to see observation insights available.
Step 3: The following screen will show you a second snapshot of your CRM that has been merged with our observation details! You may either download your insights or share them with a colleague.
Please note that new observations are available weekly, on Mondays, for each dealership, based on the date of your last request. You are also able to change dealership locations seen within Auto Taco by managing access within your Fortellis account.

Q: Why are my emails bouncing and phone numbers disconnected from the file I received?

A: Auto Taco enriches the records in your CRM based on the household address. If the address in your CRM is flagged, we observed that household at a competitor dealership. We do not validate or update your CRM's email addresses or phone numbers.
