Overview

This article covers the membership types that are available for Auto Taco, as well as how to manage your account once it is created, including renewing, changing membership type, and canceling.

Membership Types

There are two membership options available:

Monthly membership: $500/month per dealership:

Monthly Memberships will be prorated (based on a 30-day calendar month) to the 10th of the month. The card on file will then be charged on the 10th of each recurring month.

For example, if you sign up on January 13th, you will then be billed a prorated amount for January 13th through February 10th. The math would be as follows: $500 / 30 * 28 (28 days between January 13 to February 10th) = $466.67. Starting on February 10th, you would be billed $500 in perpetuity on the 10th of each month until the membership is canceled.

Yearly membership: $400/month per dealership, billed yearly:

If you sign up for our annual membership plan, you will receive a free 30-day trial and a total savings of $1200 over a monthly membership!

For example, if you sign up on June 25th, you will have the initial 30 days free through July 25th. On July 26th, you will be billed as follows: $4,800 / 365 x 15 (days from July 26th to August 10th) = $197.26. This will be added to the total for the year: $197.26 + $4,800 = $4,997.26. The following year on August 10th, you will be billed $4,800.

How to Renew, Modify, or Cancel Your Membership

Renewing Your Membership

Both Yearly and Monthly memberships will auto-renew if not canceled before the end of the payment period. For example, if your annual membership ends on July 10th, 2024, your card will be charged $4,800 ($400 x 12 months) for another yearly membership valid through July 9th, 2025.

Modifying Your Membership

To change your membership plan, navigate to Profile > Billing within the Auto Taco app. 

Please note that Yearly accounts cannot switch to Monthly until after the Yearly membership has expired. For example, if you have an annual anniversary date of June 10, 2023, you will have to request to change your membership to Monthly by June 9th, 2024. The new Monthly plan will go into effect on June 10, 2024, and payment will recur monthly.

Monthly accounts can switch to Yearly at any time, and Yearly memberships will be processed on the next available payment processing day. For example, if you request to change your membership to Yearly on March 25th, you will be billed $4,800 for the full year on April 10th. You will continue to be charged every year on April 10th.

A 30-day trial is NOT included when switching from Monthly to Yearly membership. The 30-day trial is only available if you begin with the annual plan.

Canceling Your Membership

To cancel your Yearly or Monthly membership to Auto Taco, please navigate to your Fortellis account. 

Please note that canceled memberships will not have their money refunded. However, observations will still be available until the final date within your previous payment period.

• Q: How do I receive a 30-day trial of Auto Taco? 

  • A: 30-day trials are included with the purchase on an annual membership. 

• Q: If I cancel my membership, will I still be able to receive observations until the end of my billing period?
  • A: Yes! Observations will continue to be available until the end of your billing period (either the remainder of a year, or the remainder of a month).
