Overview
This article serves to explain the complexities of banner advertising, with a particular focus on the creative requirements within El Toro's portal, and the process of uploading banner ads. El Toro's vast reach with banner ads gives us the capacity to serve to 94% of daily available online ad inventory.
Banner ads are versatile in dimension and strategically positioned at the top, bottom, or sides of a webpage, or even seamlessly woven within the page's content. This strategic positioning ensures optimal visibility. One standout advantage of banner ads is their small file size, which enables faster load times and offers a seamless user experience. Harnessing our cutting-edge technology, El Toro equips advertisers with the capability to direct their banner ads toward specific households or devices, guaranteeing precision in ad targeting.

File Size:
-
<80 KB per file is recommended
-
>100 KB per file could cause under-delivery due to loading times on the userʼs browsers
Keeping a banner file under 80 KB will ensure that the banner loads at the same rate as most web pages, and gives it a better chance of being seen by customers. The max file size for banners is 150 KBs.

Step 6: From there, you create your campaign or attach the creatives to an existing campaign to deliver ads.
Best Practices
- Clear Call-to-Action (CTA): Every banner ad should have a clear and compelling CTA. This could be an invitation to learn more, to make a purchase, or to sign up for a newsletter. The CTA should be prominently placed and easy to understand.
- Simple and Clean Design: A cluttered banner ad can be confusing and off-putting. The design should be clean and simple, with a clear focal point.
- Consistent Branding: Ensure that your banner ads are consistent with your overall brand image. Use the same fonts, colors, and tone of voice to reinforce brand recognition
- Test and Refine: Regularly test different versions of your banner ads to see what works best. This could involve testing different CTAs, images, or copies. Use the results of these tests to continuously refine your ads.
