This document will help you understand how to correctly upload a list of IP addresses for IP Targeting.

Targeting IPs through an IP List

If you have a list of IPs that you’d like to target, this may be a good option. Our IP address targeting allows you to target IP addresses directly without a physical address. All you need to do is provide a list of IP addresses to serve digital ads to the devices connected to each IP address.

How to Upload a List of IPs

Step 1: Navigate to the El Toro Portal and select the “Create” button under the Audiences section on the left-hand tab.

Step 2: From the Create Audiences page, select “IP Address List.”

 

Step 3: Upload a list of IPs addresses and allow the list to quote. Your file should be a .csv with one column using IPv4 (i.e. 192.188.0.123).

 

Step 4: Once uploaded, preview the audience to see the audience details by clicking on it.

Step 5: Select the “Use in New Campaign” button to attach this audience to an order line. For instructions on how to create a campaign, see the following article: Creating a Campaign and Order Lines – El Toro Support Center

Step 6: Submit the campaign for approval.

Step 7: Once approved, ads will begin serving.

• Q: How long does it take my IP address list to quote?

  • A: It can take anywhere from a couple of minutes to 24 hours based on the size of the file.

• Q: How accurate are the matched IPs?

  • A: Our algorithm matches IPs at about a 95% accuracy rate.
