Migration
What is a migration?
This refers to the strategic process El Toro employs to transition users from its older platform version, V2, to the more advanced Gen3 platform. This migration is designed to provide users with enhanced capabilities for managing their marketing initiatives, while still maintaining access to their existing campaigns and assets in V2.
Here's a detailed breakdown of how this process works:
-
Dual Platform Access: Users are granted access to both V2 and Gen3 platforms, allowing them to manage their initiatives with greater flexibility. This dual access is particularly beneficial for clients with migrated organizations.
-
Functionality Across Platforms:
-
In V2, users can access assets, run campaigns, and view reports as usual.
-
In Gen3, users have the capability to create new assets and manage campaigns, leveraging the advanced features of the new platform.
-
-
Gradual Transition: Users are encouraged to transition to Gen3 as soon as possible, with simultaneous access to both platforms ensuring a smooth migration process.
-
Cross-Platform Visibility:
-
Within a few weeks of the initial launch, initiatives from V2 can be viewed in Gen3, facilitating a cohesive overview of all campaigns.
-
However, initiatives created or managed in Gen3 are not visible in V2, streamlining the transition towards the newer platform.
-
-
Synchronization and Editing Restrictions:
-
Campaigns and order lines synchronized with Gen3 from V2 will become read-only within Gen3.
-
All modifications to campaigns and order lines must occur within the platform where they were originally created. For instance, if an order line is submitted in V2, all subsequent edits must be made in V2, and it will be read-only in Gen3.
-
-
Platform Submission Policy: Initiatives will be started and completed within the same platform, preventing any cross-platform submission of the same initiative.
Will I have access to my initiatives in the previous Portal?
All active V2 organizations are synced with Gen3. This means all organizations and their creatives have been synced to Gen3 first. Weekly, audience assets and campaigns from V2 will also move to Gen3. Clients will continue to have access to their assets and initiatives in V2.
Note: Your current payment information (credit card details) will not be synced with Gen3 from V2. Once users have access to Gen3, they will be prompted to add a credit card (wherever required) to be able to submit a campaign.
Reporting
Is there a different process when submitting MatchBacks or report requests from Gen3?
No, users can submit MatchBack and report requests in the same manner as they do in V2. However, please note that CSVs cannot be uploaded into the Portal. Clients will need to submit CSVs for MatchBacks via email at support@eltoro.com.
Is reporting available through Gen3?
Yes, all order line reports, including political ones, are available within the Gen3 portal.
